WASHINGTON (Legal Newsline) – The voting systems company accused of manipulating last year’s Presidential election is suing MyPillow and its founder, Mike Lindell, for defamation.

After beating back challenges from President Donald Trump supporters, Dominion Voting Systems has gone on the offensive against Lindell over his claims Dominion stole the election for Joe Biden.

“Lindell knew there was no real ‘evidence’ supporting his claims,” the lawsuit says. “And he is well aware of the independent audits and paper ballot recounts conclusively disproving the Big Lie.

“But Lindell – a talented salesman and former professional card counter – sells the lie to this day because the lie sells pillows.”

Business is up as much as 40% because of Lindell’s appeal with Trump supporters, the lawsuit says. It was filed Feb. 22 in District of Columbia federal court by the firm Clare Locke.

The suit seeks at least $1.3 million. Dominion said it had no choice but to bring suit.

“After Dominion repeatedly put Lindell on formal written notice of specific facts and evidence disproving his false claims, and let him know that the lies were putting people’s lives in danger, Lindell repeated his lies and said, ‘I welcome them to come after me because I’ve got all the evidence and then they’ll finally see it,’ and ‘I dare Dominion to sue me, because then it will get out faster.’”
