NEW YORK (Legal Newsline) - A former employee is suing Turner Construction Company, Tishman Construction Corporation and Tishman Construction Corporation of New York for his injuries sustained in a September 2019 accident.
According to documents filed Feb. 12 in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Michael Hickey was working for the companies at Hudson yards when a "gravity related accident" caused injuries to his right arm and shoulder and nervous system.
Hickley's slip or fall allegedly resulted from any of the following: an unguarded hazardous opening, a concealed hazardous opening, lack of safety harnesses or slippery conditions.
The plaintiff accuses the construction companies of violating the Labor Law, the Rules of the Board of Standards and Appeal and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
Hickley is seeking two causes of action against Turner and Tishman for their violations and negligence, and damages for his injuries that exceeded the arbitrational limits of lower courts.
