Husch Blackwell LLP issued the following announcement on Dec. 3.

Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce that Thomas N. Shorter, partner in the firm’s Healthcare industry group, has been re-elected to the Council of Regents, the legislative body of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

The Council of Regents serves as the vital link between ACHE and members by approving governance and membership regulations as well as promoting ACHE programs, services and activities within their respective areas.

Shorter is based in the firm’s Madison office. He began serving as a Regent in July 2019 and was re-elected for a three-year term beginning March 2021 and continuing through March 2024. As a Regent, Shorter represents ACHE’s membership in Wisconsin.

Shorter, an ACHE fellow, also serves as a member of the Board of Directors and President-Elect Designate of the American Health Law Association (AHLA). He also is a past Board Member and past Chapter President with ACHE, and Past President and Board Member of the State Bar of Wisconsin’s Health Law Section.
