New York Partner Sonia Kaur Bain has been elected president of WX New York Women Executives in Real Estate (WX).
The organization seeks to empower women to build successful careers in the real estate industry, supporting them at all stages of their professional development. The invitation-only association engages women from a variety of backgrounds and professions, and includes mentoring and scholars programs, networking events and programming, as well as its annual Woman of the Year Gala, of which BCLP is a dedicated sponsor.
Bain has been a member of the WX Board for many years, most recently serving as vice president. At BCLP, she focuses her practice on transactional commercial real estate and represents developers, retail companies, hotel groups, landlords and tenants, and family offices with acquisitions, dispositions, development, ground and space leases, financing and leasing of numerous types of commercial real estate assets including mixed-use, residential, retail, hotel and industrial properties in New York City and across the country.
Among numerous honors, Bain has been named to the The Best Lawyers in America© list for 2021, recognized among the New York City real estate market’s most powerful women by Bisnow, acknowledged as one of the “Top Women in Real Estate” by New York’s Sokol Media, and named to the Crain’s New York Business “Notable Women in Law” list for 2019.
