HARRISBURG, Pa. (Legal Newsline) – A key 5% of voters in Pennsylvania is undecided on which attorney general candidate to support, according to a new poll.
American Industry Project’s Sept. 23 poll says incumbent Democrat Josh Shapiro holds a lead of more than 3%, 46.7-43.2 over Republican Heather Heidelbaugh. But 5.3% remain undecided and 3.9% rest their allegiances with the Green and Libertarian parties’ candidates.
The survey was conducted by The Trafalgar Group and received responses from 1,023 voters for a margin of error of about 3%.
Shapiro won election four years ago and has since signed up to routinely challenge the policies of President Donald Trump’s administration. He also created his own version of the federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, which he mobilized to sue the nation’s largest student loan servicer, Navient.
He also wanted a state antitrust law implemented for him to use.
Heidelbaugh is a Pittsburgh lawyer who is a partner at Leech Tishman and former Allegheny County councilwoman.
