Polsinelli PC issued the following announcement on July 1.

The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers (CLEL) recently announced its Class of 2020 Fellows, which includes Polsinelli attorney Donald L. Samuels. The Fellow designation is the highest peer recognition offered to lawyers in the field of labor and employment law, reflecting sustained outstanding performance in the profession, integrity, dedication and excellence.

Samuels is the current chairman of the firm’s employment litigation practice group and has practiced employment law and litigation for more than 30 years. His client base spans from S&P 500 companies and manufacturing enterprises to city governments and start-ups. He is a passionate advocate and trusted advisor to his clients with a strong reputation for his in-depth knowledge of the law, high standards, practical approach, integrity and understanding of client needs. Samuels is also an employment law arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association, chair elect of the Colorado Judicial Institute board of directors and mentor at Denver University Law School.

“I am honored to receive this designation and join my colleagues, Sean Gallagher, Denise Drake and Lon Williams who are already Fellows,” said Samuels.

The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers was established in 1995 through an initiative of the Council of The Section of Labor and Employment Law of the American Bar Association. It operates as a freestanding organization recognizing those who, by long and outstanding service, have distinguished themselves as leaders in the field of labor and employment law.

Polsinelli continues to grow as a leader in labor and employment law, with more than 50 full-time labor and employment attorneys who understand the complexity and sensitivity of employee relations and workplace issues. Polsinelli offers clients extensive experience providing employers with cost-efficient advice and aggressive defenses on employment and labor law matters.

It has been customary in the past for CLEL Fellows to be officially inducted at a black-tie dinner in the month of November. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, an alternative celebration will be held this year, with more details coming soon.
