Greenberg Traurig LLP issued the following announcement on March 12.

Kristine J. Feher, a shareholder in the New Jersey office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, has been recognized as one of NJBIZ’s “2020 Best 50 Women in Business.” Feher and the other honorees will be celebrated at a ceremony later this year.

“We are thrilled to congratulate Kris on this well-deserved honor,” said Philip R. Sellinger and David Jay, co-managing shareholders of the firm’s New Jersey office. “She consistently distinguishes herself within the firm and the community through her leadership, mentorship, and professional accomplishments on behalf of firm clients.”

According to NJBIZ’s website, the award honors women business leaders that are prominent in their companies and industries, as well as their communities. The honorees are front-runners shaping the cultural and economic future of New Jersey.

Feher focuses her practice on representing employers and managers in employment discrimination and wrongful discharge cases arising under employment laws. In addition, she litigates wage payment and overtime compensation claims (including class actions) under the Fair Labor Standards Act and state laws. She also has wide-ranging experience in defending claims of breach of contract, infliction of emotional distress, and many other employment-related claims; and counsels franchisors regarding employment issues, including avoiding joint employer status with franchisees.

Additionally, Feher leads the Greenberg Traurig Women’s Initiative (GTWI) in the New Jersey office, serves as a Career Development Liaison, and mentors associates throughout the firm. She has taught various internal training programs, including the firm’s Litigation Skills Academy. Kris is also an editor of the GT L&E Blog and frequently speaks and writes on topics related to employment law.
