Law

Foley & Lardner LLP recently issued the following announcement.

Partner Michael Tuteur and Associate Noah Brown will present “The Business Litigation Session - 2019 Year in Review,” the annual program co-sponsored by Mass. Lawyers Weekly and the Social Law Library, on January 28, 2020 in Boston.

Every year, the Business Litigation Session of the Massachusetts Superior Court handles various complex business and commercial disputes, often deciding issues of first impression and other issues interesting to any litigator of business disputes. During this CLE program, they will highlight the most notable BLS decisions made this year.

A variety of significant cases will be highlighted, including:

Vigor Works, LLC v. White Skanska, JV. (concluding whether party can clawback privileged communications inadvertently produced despite attorney's review)

Fidelity Brokerage Services, LLC v. Callinan, (holding whether a memorized client list is confidential information and providing best practice for communicating with former clients when switching jobs).

Punzak v. McIvor (creating third exception to general rule that directors do not owe and fiduciary duties to shareholders)
