Bradley Arant Boult Cummings issued the following announcement on Nov. 7.
Bradley is pleased to announce that Austin Hagood, an attorney in the firm’s Huntsville office, has been named a “Top Pro Bono Volunteer” for 2019 by the Madison County Volunteer Lawyers Program (MCVLP).
“We congratulate Austin and commend his pro bono work through the Madison County Volunteer Lawyers Program,” said Tiffany M. Graves, Bradley’s pro bono counsel. “Austin and many other Bradley attorneys do incredible work each year to help bridge the access-to-justice gap in serving those in need in our communities.”
Mr. Hagood and other “Top Pro Bono Volunteer” honorees were formally recognized and celebrated at a luncheon on Oct. 28. The mission of the MCVLP is to provide equal access to justice through the delivery of pro bono legal services to low income citizens in Madison County and to promote volunteerism among attorneys in the county. According to the organization, MCVLP volunteers donated more than 2,300 hours of pro bono service in the last year.
A member of Bradley’s Litigation Practice Group, Mr. Hagood represents clients in general litigation matters. He is a recent graduate (magna cum laude) of the University of Alabama School of Law.
