Award

Bradley Arant Boult Cummings issued the following announcement on Sept. 16.

Bradley is pleased to announce that the firm’s Jackson office has received the 2019 Chairman of the Board’s Torchbearer Award from the Mississippi Volunteer Lawyers Project (MVLP). The award recognizes individuals, firms, and organizations that have consistently contributed financial resources to accomplish MVLP’s mission of providing quality legal services to underserved Mississippians.

Since 2013, the Bradley Foundation has donated more than $35,000 to the MVLP.

“All of us in our Jackson office are extremely proud of Bradley’s ongoing support for the Mississippi Volunteer Lawyers Project and its important work to help ensure fair access to attorneys and courts for those in need,” said Bradley Jackson Office Managing Partner Margaret Oertling Cupples. “We are very honored to accept the MVLP’s 2019 Chairman of the Board’s Torchbearer Award.”

Tiffany M. Graves, Bradley’s pro bono counsel and the former executive director of the Mississippi Access to Justice Commission, added, “This award also graciously acknowledges the many hours of time that Bradley’s attorneys have donated while serving as volunteers at legal clinics in Mississippi and representing MVLP clients.”
