BRADLEY ARANT BOULT CUMMINGS: Bradley Partner Dana Lumsden Named Co-Chair of Charlotte Regional Business Alliance 2019 Summitabled Veterans

Bradley Arant Boult Cummings issued the following announcement on Aug. 8.

Bradley is pleased to announce that Dana C. Lumsden, a partner in the firm’s Charlotte office, has been named co-chair of the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance’s 2019 Summit.

Stephanie Sadowski, managing director at Accenture, also is co-chair of the event. Scheduled for October 30 at the Sheraton Charlotte, the Summit is Charlotte’s most comprehensive, one-day deep dive across key industry sectors, promoting growth and workforce development for business. The Charlotte Regional Business Alliance (CRBA) promotes and advances the Charlotte region, creating opportunity, economic growth and prosperity for all.

“Dana will be an outstanding co-chair of this year’s Charlotte Regional Business Alliance Summit,” said Bradley Charlotte Office Managing Partner Christopher C. Lam. “We commend Dana for his continued commitment, support and personal involvement in organizations and initiatives that help drive business prosperity throughout the Charlotte community.”

Mr. Lumsden’s role as co-chair involves working with the CRBA professional staff to develop the substantive content and themes for the event, introducing speakers during the event, and working with the leading businesses in the Charlotte community on sponsoring and promoting the Summit.

A member of Bradley’s Banking and Financial Services, Intellectual Property and Litigation practice groups, Mr. Lumsden focuses his practice on business litigation, including intellectual property disputes, securities litigation, investigations and enforcement proceedings, and the resolution of regulatory controversies concerning the consumer financial services industry. He advises and represents domestic and international companies, including some of the world’s largest financial institutions and manufacturers. In class action matters, he has successfully defended clients in putative class actions involving ERISA, securities, banking, and consumer finance claims. He has tried cases in jurisdictions throughout the country.

Mr. Lumsden is actively involved in the legal profession and the community, including his work for and leadership on committees of the International Association of Defense Counsel, the North Carolina Bar Association, and the Mecklenburg County Bar. He is a member of the board of directors of the CRBA and is chair-elect of the board of trustees of the Charlotte Ballet.
