Bradley Arant Boult Cummings issued the following announcement on May 13.
Bradley is pleased to announce that Safe Alliance, a North Carolina community organization, has recognized Bradley’s Charlotte office and Robert A. Cox Jr., a partner in the office, for their pro bono work with Safe Alliance’s Victim Assistance/Legal Representation Program that helps victims of domestic violence who seek Domestic Violence Protective Orders (DVPOs).
Bradley and Mr. Cox each received the Safe Alliance Commitment to Justice Award in recognition and thanks for outstanding contribution to the Legal Representation Program. Mr. Cox leads the firm’s involvement, which partners with attorneys from Bank of America’s legal department to handle individual cases for clients. Mr. Cox, J. Douglas Grimes, C. Bailey King Jr. and Bridget V. Warren are among the Bradley attorneys who have handled cases as part of the initiative over the last year.
“We are very proud of this recognition from Safe Alliance, and we commend Rob for his leadership of the program and our other colleagues for their ongoing support and work to ensure that victims of domestic violence and sexual assault can receive vital representation in their cases that they otherwise would not be able to afford,” said Bradley Charlotte Office Managing Partner Christopher C. Lam.
A member of Bradley’s Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Practice Group, Mr. Cox focuses his practice on financial restructuring and insolvency, including bankruptcy, creditors' rights, commercial workouts, bankruptcy related litigation, and distressed asset acquisitions.
