NEW YORK (Legal Newsline) – A New York law firm is seeking to vacate a portion of an arbitration award regarding attorneys' fees.

Milberg LLP filed a complaint on May 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York against HWB Alexandra Strategies Portfolio, HWD Dachfonds-Venividivici, HWD Gold & Silber Pluc, and others seeking to vacate an arbitration award.

Milberg is seeking to vacate a portion of an arbitration award between it and the respondents that declined to order payment of attorneys' fees to it by the respondents. The award stems from a dispute to recover allegedly defaulted Argentine government bonds from the respondents.

The plaintiff is seeking that the award be vacated with respect to its denial of fees. The plaintiff is represented by William F. Dahill and Mara R. Lieber of Wollmuth Maher & Deutsch LLP in New York.
