Law firm alleges clients failed to pay more than $18,000

MIAMI — A Miami-Dade County law firm is suing a group of clients, alleging it was not paid more than $18,000 for expenses incurred while delivering legal services.

Metschlaw PC, and Lawrence R. Metsch filed a complaint April 16 in U.S. District Court Southern District of Florida against Magic Burgers LLC, Sun Steaks LLC, Pop Florida Properties LLC, Florida Pop LLC, alleging exploitation of an elderly person and failure to pay,. 

According to the complaint, the plaintiff rendered legal services to the defendants Jan. 27-Feb. 15, 2019. The suit states the defendants have failed to pay Metschlaw PC for the fees incurred and the plaintiff is owed $18,423.60.

Metschlaw PC and Metsch seek trial by jury, the $18,423.60 owed plus interest and court costs. Metsch is representing the firm and himself.
