Bradley is pleased to announce that Racquel B. Martin, an attorney in the firm’s Nashville office, has been selected as a Fellow to the 2019 National Employment Law Council (NELC) Academy.“We congratulate Racquel on her selection as a Fellow to the prestigious National Employment Law Council Academy,” said Bradley Nashville Office Managing Partner Lela Hollabaugh. “We are proud of Racquel’s leadership and commitment to minority bar representation and advancement in our profession.”Founded in 1995, NELC is a non-profit organization charged with enriching minority bar members who represent management in the field of labor and employment law. Held in conjunction with NELC’s annual conference, the NELC Academy provides advanced skills training for minority attorneys with less than four years of experience practicing management-side labor and employment law. The program exposes Fellows to NELC’s national network of experienced minority labor and employment attorneys, fosters mentoring relationships, promotes NELC to attorneys who will soon be eligible for membership, and creates a pipeline for future NELC leaders. Selection of Fellows to the 2019 NELC Academy, which is scheduled for April 24 to 26 in San Diego, was highly competitive and limited to 30 participants.A member of Bradley’s Labor and Employment Practice Group, Ms. Martin represents public and private employers in employment-related litigation involving discrimination and retaliation, wage and hour, FMLA, and non-compete issues. She also assists employers with drafting, reviewing, and updating employment policies, employee handbooks, and a variety of employment agreements. In addition, she has assisted clients in conducting workplace investigations and routinely advises employers regarding new developments in employment law and compliance with state and federal employment statutes.

Prior to joining Bradley, Ms. Martin was a summer associate with private law firms and an extern in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Tennesse
