DLA Piper issued the following announcement on Jan. 23.
DLA Piper announced today that Terry Weiss has joined the firm's Litigation practice as a partner in Atlanta.
Weiss represents financial institutions, including broker-dealers, investment advisors and securities industry professionals, in regulatory and enforcement matters, civil litigation and arbitrations and internal investigations. In the enforcement arena, he defends cases before securities industry regulators, including the SEC, FINRA and various state regulators. He also leads internal investigations linked to enforcement matters or litigation.
"As a seasoned securities litigator with decades of experience in the securities industry, including first-chairing a number of trials and arbitrations, Terry adds significant capabilities and depth of experience to the Litigation practice," said James Brogan, co-chair of DLA Piper's US Litigation practice. "His diverse skillset and deep insights into the securities industry will be tremendously valuable."

Weiss received his J.D. from Emory University School of Law and his B.A. from Emory University.
