Littler Mendelson issued the following announcement on Jan. 17

Littler, the world’s largest labor and employment firm representing management, announces that Ellen Storch has joined as a shareholder in its growing Melville, New York, office, which has added eight attorneys since 2015 and now totals 19 attorneys.

Storch was a partner at Kaufman, Dolowich & Voluck LLP, where she was co-chair of the firm’s women’s initiative and a member of the diversity and inclusion committee. With an active practice, she counsels international, national and local employers, as well as public employers and not-for-profit organizations, involved in discrimination and harassment cases, restrictive covenant disputes and wage and hour claims. She has litigated numerous cases in federal and state courts and has represented clients before government agencies and human rights commissions.

“Lateral recruitment is part of our regional growth strategy, and we are excited to welcome Ellen as the newest addition to our Long Island office. Her litigation experience, coupled with her background in HR counseling and training, will be invaluable to clients and complement the experience of our existing team,” said John Bauer, Long Island office managing shareholder.

In addition to employment litigation, Storch advises clients on the full spectrum of workplace issues, including preparing and reviewing policies, handbooks and agreements. She works with management to ensure compliance with evolving labor and employment laws and provides training to employees at all levels.

“I’m excited to join the leading labor and employment law firm, where I’ll be able to expand my practice and deliver a broader array of services to clients through Littler’s global platform,” said Storch. “I have long admired the firm for its innovative solutions, excellent practitioners and strong commitment to diversity and inclusion. I look forward to working with the talented team here in Long Island and across the firm.”

Storch received her J.D. from the University of Southern California and her B.A. from the American University. She is a member of the National Association of Insurance Women and the Labor and Employment section of the Nassau County Bar Association.
