Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak and Stewart, P.C. issued the following announcement on Jan. 9.
Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, and LegalMation®, the leading A.I. platform that automates early stage litigation tasks, announced an innovative partnership that significantly broadens the law firm’s application of the technology in employment litigation matters.
LegalMation is the first A.I.-based technology platform that analyzes legal complaints and discovery requests, then generates draft answers, discovery requests, discovery responses, and discovery objections in as little as two minutes. Ogletree Deakins has utilized the technology on select employment litigation matters in California since April 2018. LegalMation’s employment litigation module is based on the input of foremost authorities in the field including Ogletree Deakins’ experienced and talented attorneys.
As the preferred employment litigation partner, the firm will now also deploy LegalMation in select employment litigation matters in Texas, New Jersey, and Florida, as well as other jurisdictions as the platform expands. Ogletree Deakins will also assist LegalMation in the development of key labor and employment products, including data analytics, case summaries, and the automation of other key high-volume pre-litigation tasks. The partnership also establishes an Ogletree Deakins Advisory Board that will provide strategic input to enhance and expand the LegalMation platform.
“LegalMation’s A.I. powered litigation assistant is revolutionizing employment litigation by automating early discovery and litigation functions that historically have taken attorneys and paralegals several hours to complete,” said Patrick DiDomenico, Chief Knowledge Officer at Ogletree Deakins. “We are pleased to implement the technology in all the jurisdictions where the platform is currently available, increasing the overall efficiency of our lawyers and lowering litigation costs for our clients. We look forward to building more innovative solutions with LegalMation’s expertise as we integrate those solutions in our workflows.”
”Our partnership with Ogletree Deakins is a significant step in advancing our vision to move the legal services industry forward” said Thomas Suh, President and Co-Founder of LegalMation. “By working closely, not only with each other, but with key corporate clients, we are redefining the traditional legal service delivery model to achieve true win-win relationships.”
