Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe issued the following announcement on Dec. 6.
The American Lawyer honored Orrick with its first-ever Legal Services Innovation Award. AmLaw recognizes the firm for innovating how we deliver value to clients, noting that "Orrick makes innovation an important part of its approach from top to bottom."
"We’re honored to be recognized for our focus on innovation," said Mitch Zuklie, Orrick’s Chairman & CEO. "Clients care deeply about their firms’ ability to innovate to improve both quality and efficiency. Adaptability is going to be key for the most successful legal service providers of the future."
Orrick is focused on innovating in four distinct ways: legal products, technology adoption, streamlined processes and client collaboration. Last month, the firm announced the launch of a new corporate venture fund to make investments in promising legal tech companies globally.
The award was presented at the American Lawyer Industry Awards in New York. In addition to winning the innovation award, Orrick ranked #4 on American Lawyer’s A-List. Orrick’s Supreme Court & Appellate Practice Group Leader Joshua Rosenkranz was honored as a 2018 Litigator of the Year, the only time a lawyer has won this award twice.
