BRADLEY ARANT BOULT CUMMINGS LLP: J. William Manuel Appointed to Mississippi Board of Bar Admissions

Bradley Arant Boult Cummings issued the following announcement on Sept. 24.

Bradley is pleased to announce that J. William Manuel, a partner in the firm’s Jackson office, has been appointed to the Mississippi Board of Bar Admissions (MBBA). His three-year term begins Nov. 1.

“We congratulate Will on his appointment to the Mississippi Board of Bar Admissions and his continued service to the legal profession,” said Bradley Jackson Office Managing Partner Margaret Oertling Cupples.

The MBBA administers state bar admission rules and determines the fitness and qualifications of individuals seeking admission to practice law in Mississippi. Board members are appointed by the Mississippi Supreme Court.

A member of Bradley’s Litigation Practice Group, Mr. Manuel focuses his practice primarily on commercial and employment litigation. He has handled various disputes for large and small businesses in Mississippi and other jurisdictions. Mr. Manuel’s clients include numerous manufacturers and commercial interests as well as various insurance and financial services companies. He has worked to defend these clients in multidistrict litigation and individual actions brought in Mississippi. He also has experience in advising businesses on issues involving age discrimination, sexual harassment and wage/overtime disputes.

Mr. Manuel received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts (magna cum laude) from Mississippi State University.
