BRADLEY ARANT BOULT CUMMINGS: CLSA Names Mabry Rogers 2019 President, Presents Award to Bradley and David Taylor

Bradley Arant Boult Cummings issued the following announcement on Sept. 18.

Bradley is pleased to announce that E. Mabry Rogers, a partner in the firm’s Birmingham office, has been named president of the Construction Lawyers Society of America (CLSA) for 2019. In addition, the CLSA recently presented its 2018 Law Firm Award to Bradley and its 2018 Community Service Award to Bradley Nashville partner David K. Taylor.

The CLSA presented the awards Sept. 6 to Mr. Rogers and Mr. Taylor, who both are Charter CLSA Fellows, at the CLSA’s 2018 International Conference & Induction of Fellows in Banff, Alberta, Canada.

“We congratulate Mabry on his election as next year’s president of the Construction Lawyers Society of America, and we celebrate his achievements as a top practitioner and leader in construction law,” said Bradley Chairman of the Board and Managing Partner Jonathan M. Skeeters. “We also commend David for his community service, as well as all our Construction and Government Contracts Practice Group attorneys whose successes and dedicated service to our clients have earned special recognition from the CLSA.”

The CLSA Law Firm Award recognizes North American law firms for high acumen and ability in construction law, construction arbitration, surety and/or other construction-related fields. Awards are based upon independent research by the CLSA and input of the organization’s’ Fellows who sit on the CLSA Law Firm Awards Committee. The CLSA Community Service Award recognizes CLSA Fellows and others within the legal profession who have contributed in meaningful ways to society and/or their communities by giving back their time and resources in an effort to improve the lives of others.

A founding member of Bradley’s Construction and Government Contracts Practice Group, Mr. Rogers focuses his practice in complex construction or procurement matters and has been involved in a large number of complex litigation matters in the United States and internationally. He has assisted in negotiations of large construction projects at the front-end, representing owners, lenders, designers and contractors. He also has also frequently served as an arbitrator and mediator.

Mr. Rogers received his J.D. (cum laude) from Harvard Law School and his Bachelor of Arts (cum laude) from Yale University.

Mr. Taylor, who chairs the firm’s construction group in Bradley’s Nashville, Tenn., office, represents all participants in the construction industry. A commercial litigator for more than three decades, he also focuses his practice on construction and real estate dispute resolution.

Mr. Taylor received his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law. He also has a Bachelor of Arts from Davidson College.

The CLSA is an invitation-only construction lawyer honorary society with membership limited to 1,200 practicing Fellows from the United States and internationally. CLSA Fellows are selected and invited into Fellowship after being evaluated for effectiveness and accomplishment in construction law, along with ethical reputation.
