Pepper Hamilton LLP issued the following announcement on Sept. 7.
Six lawyers from Pepper Hamilton have been named by Michigan Super Lawyers magazine as top attorneys in the state for 2018. All are resident in the firm’s Detroit office. Each year, no more than 5 percent of the lawyers in Michigan are named to Super Lawyers and no more than 2.5 percent are named to the Rising Stars list.
Pepper Hamilton lawyers named to the 2018 Michigan Super Lawyers list are:
Robert S. Hertzberg
Kay Standridge Kress
Robert C. Ludolph
Matthew J. Lund
Thomas P. Wilczak
Sean P. McNally has been named to the 2018 Michigan Rising Stars list.
A statewide survey of lawyers who have been in practice for at least 5 years leads to the nomination of attorneys personally observed. Candidates are also added from searches by an attorney-led research staff. A research department examines the background and experience of each candidate. Point totals are calculated from the balloting and qualitative evaluation steps. Candidates are grouped according to primary area of practice. Members of a blue ribbon panel, selected from those with high point totals, review a list of candidates from their practice area. Final candidates are those with the highest point totals from each category. The selection process for Rising Stars is the same as the Super Lawyers selection process except that: 1) to be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for ten years or less and 2) candidates for Rising Stars do not go through peer evaluation by practice area.
