ATLANTA (Legal Newsline) – A Norcross, Georgia, law firm alleges that a Chicago company specializing in small business marketing sent it a junk fax.
Hormozdi Law Firm LLC filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on Aug. 2 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia against Glazer-Kennedy Insider's Circle LLC, doing business as GKIC, citing the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that the defendant sent it a two-page unsolicited fax on June 29 about a marketing program it offers.
The plaintiff holds Glazer-Kennedy Insider's Circle LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly contacted the plaintiff through sending unsolicited fax advertisement without its consent.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks $500 in statutory damages, treble damages, enjoin the defendant, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Charles M. Clapp of Charles M. Clapp in Atlanta, Georgia.
