MISSOULA, Mont. (Legal Newsline) — An environmental organization is suing the Environmental Protection Agency, alleging violation of federal law.

Alliance for the Wild Rockies filed a complaint May 16 in U.S. District Court for the District of Montana against the EPA, alleging failure to complete a consultation regarding the effects of the operations at a Montana Superfund site.

According to the complaint, the alliance was damaged because the EPA failed to comply with the requirements of the Endangered Species Act.

The Alliance for the Wild Rockies seeks to declare the EPA has violated the Endangered Species Act, reinitiate and complete consultation under the ESA, court costs and all further relief the court grants. It is represented by attorneys Timothy Bechtold of Bechtold Law Firm PLLC and by Kristine M. Akland of Akland Law Firm, PLLC, both in Missoula, Montana.
