CLEVELAND (Legal Newsline) — An Ohio man is suing bonding companies, alleging breach of contract and fraud.

Abiodun Freeman of Willard, Ohio, filed a class action complaint, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, Nov. 30 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio against Turoczy Bonding Company, care of Incorp. Services Inc.; Eddie Lee Legacy, Inc., care of Garrett Michael McClellan; Cuffs Off Bail Bonds Inc., care of Brian Jerome Cole; Eddie E. Lee Irrevocable Trust Ltd.; and Lake City Bank, the trustee for Eddie E. Lee Irrevocable Trust Ltd., alleging failure to pay commissions.

According to the complaint, Freeman suffered monetary damages because the defendants transferred assets in order to avoid paying the plaintiff any commission.

Freeman seeks trial by jury, certification of this case as a class action, declaratory relief, compensatory or statutory damages, punitive damages, legal fees and all other relief the court grants. He is represented by attorneys Ryan A. Winters and Joseph F. Scott of Scott & Winters Law Firm, LLC in Cleveland, and by Thomas A. Downie of Chagrin Falls, Ohio.
