Class-action suit filed against makers of skincare cream

A class-action suit seeking redress for various California law violations is being brought against the maker of the skincare product called "éclos."

According to a lawsuit filed on Feb. 9 in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California's Western Division, Geri Marshall and other unnamed plaintiffs are filing a class action against PH Beauty Labs Inc., doing business as Freeman Beauty, and 20 unnamed defendants.

In a recent action, the defendants are seeking to move the case from Los Angeles County Superior Court to the U.S. District Court. 

According to the original lawsuit, the plaintiff is bringing this class action due to the defendants' alleged violation of the California Unfair Competition Law, the California False Advertising Law, the California Consumers Legal Remedies Act and the California

Commercial Code.

The plaintiffs seek undisclosed damages and the removal of the company's products if the stated problems are not corrected.

The plaintiffs are represented by attorney Jack Fitzgerald of San Diego, Calif.
