HOUSTON - A woman is claiming she was injured after stepping into an uncovered hole.
Seeking up to $1 million in damages, Audelia Bernal Ramirez filed suit against Hold Construction on July 1 in Harris County District Court.
According to the lawsuit, on Dec. 10 Ramirez was working at Park Lakes Elementary in Humble. Hold Construction was responsible for extensive construction at the site.
As Ramirez was traversing the premises, she stepped into an uncovered hole and fell, injuring herself.
The suit claims the hole was created by Hold Construction and that there were no warnings, and that the area was not monitored or fenced off.
The suit is alleging negligence and seeks damages for Ramirez’s alleged medical expenses, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages.
