Jay Holloway, a 37-year-old resident of Bradford County, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced to 168 months in prison for the distribution of child pornography. The sentence was handed down by Chief United States District Judge Matthew W. Brann.
Acting United States Attorney John C. Gurganus reported that on May 17, 2023, a search warrant was executed at Holloway’s residence by the Pennsylvania State Police and the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General. During the search, multiple digital devices were seized and analyzed. The forensic analysis revealed approximately 3,369 images and 965 videos of child pornography on these devices. It was also discovered that Holloway distributed this material through Telegram, an encrypted messaging application.
The investigation involved Homeland Security Investigations–Philadelphia Division, the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General’s Child Predator Section, and the Pennsylvania State Police. Assistant United States Attorney Tatum Wilson prosecuted the case.
This prosecution is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 to address child sexual exploitation and abuse. The program coordinates federal, state, and local efforts to prosecute offenders and rescue victims. More information about Project Safe Childhood can be found at www.usdoj.gov/psc.
