A Carver man has been sentenced in a federal court in Boston for his role in an oxycodone conspiracy. Michael Atwood, aged 37, received a sentence of 35 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release. In November 2024, Atwood admitted guilt to charges of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute oxycodone pills. He was indicted by a federal grand jury in August 2023 alongside five other co-conspirators.
From November 2023 until June 2023, Atwood obtained large quantities of oxycodone pills from John Campbell, a co-defendant. These pills were then redistributed by Atwood. During a search of Atwood's residence on July 12, 2023, authorities seized approximately $63,000 in cash.
In January 2025, Campbell was sentenced to four years in prison with an additional three years of supervised release.
