Kenneth Lynch, a 45-year-old resident of Edmond, has entered a guilty plea for the charge of sexual exploitation of a child. This announcement was made by U.S. Attorney Robert J. Troester.
A federal Grand Jury indicted Lynch on February 20, 2025, with three counts: sexual exploitation of a child, transportation of child pornography, and possession and accessing with intent to view material containing child pornography. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents found images depicting child sexual abuse material (CSAM) shared on a dark web chat site in October 2024. During their investigation, HSI identified the minor victim in these images and interviewed her on November 12, 2024. The victim reported that Lynch had sexually abused her multiple times and had taken the incriminating photographs. Following this revelation, Edmond police arrested Lynch at his residence on January 15, 2025, after executing a search warrant which led to the discovery of some CSAM images on his phone.
On May 7, 2025, Lynch pleaded guilty to Count 1 of the Indictment and admitted to using a minor for producing sexually explicit images. He now faces a sentence ranging from at least 15 years to up to 30 years in federal prison and could be fined up to $250,000.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Jordan Ganz and is part of an investigation conducted by HSI and the Edmond Police Department. It falls under the Tornado Alley Child Exploitation Task Force's jurisdiction—an initiative led by HSI as part of Project Safe Childhood (PSC). PSC is a nationwide program by the Department of Justice aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse through coordinated efforts across federal, state, and local levels.
