William Lewis Daniels, a 26-year-old from Texas, has been sentenced to 96 months in federal prison. He was convicted of interference with commerce by robbery, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and being a drug user in possession of a firearm. The announcement came from U.S. Attorney Robert J. Troester.

On February 8, 2024, the Oklahoma City Police Department responded to an armed robbery at a local residence. The victims reported that three men entered their home and restrained them with zip-ties. One of the men, identified as Daniels, allegedly held the victims at gunpoint while they stole over $36,000 in cash and more than 600 pounds of marijuana.

Security footage revealed four vehicles leaving the scene, including one driven by Brandon Michael Norman, another codefendant from Florida. A car stolen during the robbery was later found in a nearby parking lot where suspects exchanged vehicles.

Police apprehended Watson, Williams, and Norman shortly after without incident. Daniels attempted to evade capture by leading authorities on a high-speed chase before crashing his vehicle and fleeing on foot. He was arrested soon after.

In August 2024, Daniels pleaded guilty to all charges against him. At his sentencing on May 1, 2025, U.S. District Judge Bernard M. Jones emphasized the severity of the crimes committed and highlighted the need for public safety and deterrence.

Daniels' codefendants also received prison sentences after pleading guilty: Jordon Isaih Watson received 96 months; Keldon Sherrod Williams received 60 months; Brandon Michael Norman received 48 months. Each will serve three years of supervised release following their imprisonment.

The investigation involved both the FBI Oklahoma City Field Office and the Oklahoma City Police Department with Assistant U.S. Attorney Drew E. Davis prosecuting the case.
