A Lynn, Massachusetts man has been sentenced to 12 years in federal prison for his involvement in a large-scale drug trafficking organization operating on the North Shore of Massachusetts. Sebastien Bejin, also known as "Bash," was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Patti B. Saris and will serve five years of supervised release following his prison term.
Bejin pleaded guilty in January 2025 to charges including conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and possession with intent to distribute. He was charged alongside Emilio Garcia and Deiby Felix in November 2023, with a federal grand jury indictment following in December 2023.
The investigation into the drug trafficking organization began after an overdose death in Salem, Massachusetts, led authorities to Bejin, Garcia, and Felix. On November 1, 2023, searches at locations linked to Bejin and Garcia resulted in significant seizures of fentanyl and methamphetamine—believed to be one of the largest single-location seizures in Massachusetts history.
Authorities seized nine kilograms of pink heart-shaped pills laced with fentanyl designed to resemble candy. The operation also uncovered over 150 kilograms of suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine along with cocaine and cutting agents like xylazine used for adulterating drugs.
The total seizure amounted to more than eight million doses of fentanyl- and methamphetamine-laced pills valued at approximately $8 million on the street market. Investigators found that Garcia and Bejin regularly transported these substances from their stash location for distribution by lower-level dealers.
At Felix's residence, authorities discovered over three kilograms of pressed pills containing methamphetamine and fentanyl along with a firearm. A hidden clandestine laboratory equipped with industrial pill presses was found in the basement where over 100 pounds of suspected fentanyl powder were stored.
Garcia pleaded guilty on February 7, 2025, while Felix entered a guilty plea on February 3, 2025; both are scheduled for sentencing later this month.
United States Attorney Leah B. Foley announced the developments alongside James Crowley from the FBI Boston office; Colonel Geoffrey D. Noble from the Massachusetts State Police; Essex County District Attorney Paul F. Tucker; with assistance from state agencies including local police departments from Lynnfield and Salem.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Philip A. Mallard prosecuted this case under the Organized Crime & Gang Unit's jurisdiction.
