A registered sex offender, Corey Bouchard, aged 34 from Douglas, was sentenced in federal court in Worcester for child pornography charges. U.S. District Court Judge Margaret R. Guzman sentenced Bouchard to 10 years in prison followed by five years of supervised release. In January 2025, Bouchard pleaded guilty to accessing with intent to view child pornography after being charged by complaint in April 2024.
In November 2023, a search of Bouchard’s home led to the discovery of a cache file on his cell phone containing approximately 72 videos depicting child pornography. File names of about 56 videos matched those shared in Kik messenger group chats that Bouchard participated in. He admitted to accessing child pornography with the intent to view it.
The announcement was made by United States Leah B. Foley; Michael J. Krol, Special Agent in Charge of Homeland Security Investigations in New England; and Colonel Geoffrey D. Noble, Superintendent of the Massachusetts State Police. The Uxbridge and Douglas Police Departments provided valuable assistance during the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Kaitlin J. Brown from the Worcester Branch Office prosecuted the case.
This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse nationwide. It involves federal, state, and local resources to locate and prosecute individuals exploiting children while identifying and rescuing victims.
