Keevon Carter-Hickmon, a man from Mansfield, has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for producing child pornography. This announcement was made by Chad E. Meacham, the Acting United States Attorney for the Northern District of Texas.
In January 2025, Carter-Hickmon was indicted and pleaded guilty to the charge of producing child pornography. The sentence of 360 months in federal prison was handed down by U.S. District Judge Reed O’Connor on May 2, 2025.
Documents reveal Carter-Hickmon drove to pick up a minor from a local middle school after months of online communication. He then took the minor to a motel in Arlington where sexual contact occurred. Carter-Hickmon recorded and distributed pornographic images of the minor online. While awaiting trial, he also solicited another minor online, receiving more child pornography.
Acting United States Attorney Meacham highlighted the efforts of the agencies involved. The investigation was conducted by the Arlington Police Department, Stephenville Police Department, Mansfield Police Department, the United States Secret Service, and Homeland Security Investigations. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Allyson Monte.
This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative by the Department of Justice that started in May 2006. It aims to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse using resources from federal, state, and local levels to locate and prosecute offenders and rescue victims.
