U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced that Shawnle McClary, 49, from Rochester, NY, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison. McClary was convicted of conspiracy to possess and distribute at least five kilograms of cocaine and 400 grams or more of fentanyl, alongside possession of firearms to further drug trafficking activities. U.S. District Judge Frank P. Geraci, Jr. delivered the sentence.

McClary was involved in packaging and transporting these drugs from a stash location on Forester Street to sale sites on Angle Street in Rochester. A law enforcement operation on January 17, 2024, led to searches across Rochester, including McClary’s residence in the Town of Greece. This operation resulted in the seizure of 805 grams of cocaine, 210 grams of fentanyl, 223 grams of cocaine, $7,682 in cash, seven loaded firearms, and various drug paraphernalia.
The sentencing is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) operation aimed at dismantling major criminal organizations in the U.S. through a collaborative, intelligence-led approach. Information about OCDETF's activities is available at their official website.
The investigation was conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, led by Special Agent-in-Charge Bryan Miller, alongside the Rochester Police Department, headed by Chief David Smith.
