Cesar A. Lobo-Ramos, a 38-year-old native of Honduras, entered a guilty plea on April 22, 2025, for the illegal re-entry of a removed alien. The case was prosecuted under Title 8 United States Code, Section 1326(a), according to Acting U.S. Attorney Michael M. Simpson.

Court documents reveal that Lobo-Ramos illegally re-entered the United States after being deported on April 10, 2018. His unlawful presence was discovered following his arrest by the Kenner Police Department on November 2, 2023, for resisting arrest and obstructing police.

Lobo-Ramos now faces a maximum prison sentence of two years, up to one year of supervised release, a fine of up to $250,000, and a mandatory $100 special assessment fee. Furthermore, he confronts a sentencing enhancement of up to 20 years due to a prior felony conviction for sexual battery in 2010 in Jefferson Parish.

Acting U.S. Attorney Simpson commended the efforts of the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency and the Kenner Police Department in handling this investigation. The prosecution of the case is being led by Assistant United States Attorney Carter K.D. Guice, Jr. of the General Crimes Unit.
