Yesterday in southeastern Michigan, law enforcement officials executed search warrants at five residential locations. This initiative is part of an ongoing investigation led by the Michigan Department of Attorney General into a series of coordinated vandalism and property damage incidents. These incidents have taken place across multiple counties in the region. The search warrants, authorized by the 45th District Court, were carried out with the assistance of local authorities.

"No persons were arrested in the course of fulfilling the warrants," said a statement from the Department of Attorney General. In one instance, police forcibly breached an entryway after more than an hour of negotiations to satisfy the court-authorized search warrant.

The investigation is addressing a series of acts causing damage estimated to be around $100,000. The vandalism, often occurring at night, involved property destruction and the use of noxious substances. Political messages were left at every site. The incidents include property within public and private spaces, and in one case, children were awakened during the event.

Dates and locations of the acts under investigation were disclosed, with scene photographs taken as evidence. Notable instances include damage at Knollwood Country Club in West Bloomfield, Goodman Acker Law Firm in Southfield, and multiple residences and offices belonging to University of Michigan officials.

As the investigation continues, authorities have made no arrests or filed charges. The Attorney General's office encourages anyone with relevant information to reach out to local law enforcement.
