A Billings resident, Lynda Diane Good, has been sentenced to 60 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release for drug-related offenses, according to U.S. Attorney Kurt Alme.
Good, aged 60, pleaded guilty in December 2024 to possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute. U.S. District Judge Susan Watters presided over the case.
Court documents revealed that on April 3, 2024, an undercover officer conducted a controlled purchase of four ounces of methamphetamine from Good at her residence. A subsequent search warrant executed on April 11, 2024, led to the recovery of 434 grams of methamphetamine and multiple firearms from her property. Good admitted to possessing around one pound of methamphetamine and engaging in its distribution.
The case was prosecuted by an Assistant U.S. Attorney, with investigations conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), Billings Police Department, and Montana Division of Criminal Investigation.
This case was part of the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) initiative. OCDETF aims to identify, disrupt, and dismantle high-level criminal organizations via a multi-agency, intelligence-led approach. More details on the initiative can be found at Justice.gov/OCDETF.
