Attorney General Raúl Labrador has announced the sentencing of Joseph Michael Przybylski, age 31, for crimes involving the sexual exploitation of a child. Przybylski was convicted of one count of Sexual Exploitation of a Child by Possession of Sexually Exploitative Material and one count of Enticing a Child Through the Use of the Internet. The sentencing took place on April 14, 2025, overseen by Ada County District Judge Patrick Miller.
The Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit received information in June 2024 from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, indicating that Przybylski had material related to child sexual abuse. With search warrants, officers found over 400 files of illegal material linked to his account. Przybylski admitted during police interviews to possessing these files and engaging in explicit conversations with a 12-year-old girl. The evidence showed this material involved minors as young as two years old.
Attorney General Labrador commented on the case, expressing gratitude to the various law enforcement agencies involved, stating, “I’m grateful to our Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, local law enforcement, and prosecutors for their unwavering commitment to protecting Idaho’s kids and ensuring this offender is removed from society.”
Przybylski, previously convicted in 2019 for similar charges, was given a combined sentence of 25 years, becoming eligible for parole after serving 15 years of his term. In addition to sentencing, Przybylski is required to pay fines and court costs. Post release, he must comply with Idaho’s sex offender registry requirements.
The investigation was led by ICAC Commander Nicholas Edwards and prosecuted by Deputy Attorney General Madison Allen.
