Attorney General Raúl Labrador has announced personnel changes within the Idaho Office of the Attorney General. Dan Estes has been promoted to Director of Consumer Protection, and Damon Sidur has been appointed as Communications Director.
Dan Estes steps into his new role from his previous position as the Public Information Officer, which he has held since November 2023. In that capacity, he effectively managed media relations, heightened public awareness of legal achievements, and bolstered outreach activities across the state. His efforts focused on clear and impactful communication, aligning with the office's priorities and keeping the public informed of their initiatives.
As Director of Consumer Protection, Estes will now manage a team of analysts, guide media communications about consumer matters, and work closely with Attorney General Labrador on statewide outreach efforts. Labrador commended Estes for his previous work, stating, “Dan has been an outstanding Public Information Officer, ensuring Idahoans are informed about the important work our office is doing on their behalf. His dedication and skill for serving the people of Idaho have made a real difference. Dan’s commitment to consumer protection and keeping Idahoans informed makes him the right choice for this role. This promotion is well-deserved, and I have no doubt he will excel.”
Damon Sidur joins the office as the new Communications Director. His prior roles include Communications Director for Congressmen Michael Cloud and Cliff Bentz and Digital Media Director for Congressman Bob Good. He also served as Deputy Communications Director for the Colorado House Republican Caucus. Sidur is an alumnus of Colorado Christian University. Labrador welcomed Sidur, stating, “Damon is a talented, strong conservative communicator who will lead our efforts to ensure Idahoans hear directly about the work we’re doing to defend their rights, freedoms, and way of life. I’m excited to have him on the team.”
The office has directed the press to send all future media inquiries to damon.sidur@ag.idaho.gov.
