Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP is pleased to announce the expansion of its mergers and acquisitions practice with the addition of distinguished corporate partner Hendrik Jordaan. He joins the firm’s office in Denver, Colorado and brings more than 25 years of experience to the role with deep knowledge in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, private credit, and a unique perspective as a CEO, investor and entrepreneur.
Over the course of his career, Jordaan has held various leadership positions including Global Head of Private Equity Investments and Buyouts at a leading Am Law 100 firm. From 2013 to 2024, he served as president and CEO of an international private equity fund managing $120 million in assets, while also overseeing a $110 million private credit fund based in New York. As founder of both funds, he chaired their investment committees and played a central role in developing and executing investment strategies.
“Hendrik is an internationally recognized advisor in M&A matters and has a proven track record of delivering exceptional results for clients,” said partner Michael Hollingsworth, co-chair of Nelson Mullins’ Mergers and Acquisitions Group. “He will enhance the depth and breadth of our middle-market practice while significantly expanding our platform across Colorado, Texas, and the Western United States.”
“I am grateful to join the Nelson Mullins team and work alongside an elite group of attorneys on one of the most robust middle-market M&A platforms in the United States. I look forward to helping the firm grow its business-minded M&A practice to new heights,” said Jordaan.
