A Pittsburgh resident has been sentenced to a total of 54 months in prison for firearm possession and supervised release violations. The sentence, handed down by United States District Judge Cathy Bissoon, includes 46 months for violating federal firearms laws and an additional 8 months for breaching conditions of his federal supervised release.

Keith Harris, 25, was also ordered to serve three years of supervised release after completing his prison sentence. Harris previously admitted to possessing a firearm and ammunition as a convicted felon, an action prohibited by federal law. He also acknowledged breaching several conditions of his supervised release stemming from a 2022 conviction for similar offenses.

Assistant United States Attorney Kelly M. Locher represented the government in this case. Acting United States Attorney Troy Rivetti highlighted the successful collaboration between the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearm and the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police in Harris’s prosecution.
