Cooper Jo Frederick, a resident of Fort Collins, Colorado, has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges related to an incident involving a fire at a Tesla Service Center in Loveland, Colorado. The United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Colorado announced the indictment. Frederick faces one count of Malicious Destruction and Attempted Destruction of Property by Fire and one count of Possession of an Unregistered Destructive Device. Investigators attributed the fire to an incendiary device.
The indictment against Frederick is still considered an allegation, and he remains presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Authorities arrested Frederick on March 27, 2025, in Frisco, Texas.
The investigation into the fire is being conducted by the Denver Field Office of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, receiving support from the Loveland Police Department. Additional assistance comes from the Dallas Field Office of the ATF, the FBI Dallas Field Office, and the Frisco Police Department. The United States Attorney’s Office’s Violent Crimes and Immigration Enforcement Section is handling the prosecution.
