The Independent Investigations Division (IID) of the Maryland Office of the Attorney General released the video footage from the fatal police-involved pedestrian collision involving the City of Hyattsville Police Department that occurred on Friday, February 28, 2025, in Chillum, Prince George’s County, Maryland. 

The decedent was previously identified as 33-year-old Esmeralda Montoya-Perez. The Independent Investigations Division continues to investigate the circumstances of the fatal pedestrian collision.
