Christopher Lee Caquelin, a 41-year-old resident of Fort Dodge, Iowa, has entered a guilty plea to charges related to the distribution of methamphetamine. The plea was made on March 26, 2025, for one count of conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance and one count of distribution of a controlled substance.

During the plea hearing, evidence was presented indicating that from January 1, 2023, through October 31, 2024, Caquelin participated in an ongoing drug conspiracy based in Fort Dodge. This operation involved distributing 50 grams or more of pure methamphetamine. Caquelin and his associates sold methamphetamine both locally in Fort Dodge and to sources collaborating with law enforcement.

Sentencing will take place before United States District Court Chief Judge Leonard T. Strand after the preparation of a presentence report. Caquelin is currently held by the United States Marshal pending sentencing. He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of ten years' imprisonment and could receive up to life imprisonment. Additionally, he may be fined up to $10 million and subjected to five years to life of supervised release following any prison term.
