Miguel Saravia, the Chief Executive Officer of Dana Group Associates and former Chief Operating Officer of Prime Behavioral Health, has been sentenced in a Boston federal court for his involvement in a healthcare fraud scheme. The sentencing was delivered by U.S. District Court Judge Allison D. Burroughs.
Saravia, aged 42 and residing in Hanson, received a sentence of three and a half months in prison followed by one year of supervised release. He is also required to pay restitution amounting to $561,141.89. In September 2024, Saravia admitted guilt to six counts of healthcare fraud.
The fraudulent activities occurred between 2017 and 2022. During this period, Saravia instructed individuals lacking billing or medical expertise to enter incorrect Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes for therapy services that were either not provided or inaccurately represented as more complex treatments than those actually given.

Assistant U.S. Attorneys Kelly B. Lawrence and Mackenzie A. Queenin from the Health Care Fraud Unit along with Lindsey Ross and Steven Sharobem from the Affirmative Civil Enforcement Unit prosecuted the case.
