North Dakota Health and Human Services is looking to hire a Lead Attorney for its Child Support Section. The position, based in Fargo, ND, or the surrounding area, offers telecommuting options. The role involves supervising legal staff at the Fargo field office and handling cases related to paternity, child support, health insurance obligations, and enforcement of these duties.

The responsibilities also include reviewing and modifying child support orders, providing legal advice to Child Support staff, drafting legal documents, conducting research, and participating in decision-making processes as part of the management team. Public relations efforts with the private bar and judiciary are also part of the job.

Applicants must have a Juris Doctorate degree, a current license to practice law in North Dakota, and two years of family law experience. A valid driver's license is required along with successful completion of a defensive driving course during orientation.
