Davonta D. Brogdon, a 32-year-old from Detroit, Michigan, has been sentenced to 150 months in federal prison for his involvement in a drug trafficking operation centered in Harrison County. Brogdon, also known by the aliases "Zone" and "Tay," was a primary figure in transporting significant amounts of controlled substances from Detroit to Clarksburg, West Virginia.

Court documents reveal that during one of Brogdon's trips, authorities conducted a traffic stop which led to the recovery of 443 grams of methamphetamine and over 50 grams of fentanyl. Additionally, Brogdon was found to have recruited others to aid in the operation.

Following his prison term, Brogdon will be subject to three years of supervised release.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Christie Utt. The investigation involved multiple agencies including the Greater Harrison Drug Task Force, funded by HIDTA; the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms; the Drug Enforcement Administration; and the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office.

Chief U.S. District Judge Thomas S. Kleeh oversaw the proceedings.
