Ramon Medina Colon, a 50-year-old man from the Dominican Republic, has been sentenced to 33 months in prison for illegal reentry into the United States. The sentencing was delivered by U.S. District Judge Julia K. Munley on March 14, 2025.

Acting United States Attorney John C. Gurganus provided details of Medina Colon's legal history. Initially removed from the U.S. in 2007 after a felony conviction for criminal possession of a loaded firearm, Medina Colon faced further removals following additional convictions. These included possession of stolen property, possession and intent to distribute controlled substances, resisting arrest, and multiple DUIs. He was also convicted of illegal reentry in 2012.

The investigation was conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Removal Operations, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Sarah R. Lloyd prosecuting the case.
