Jason Trimmer, 47, from Lander, Wyoming, has been sentenced to 180 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release. He was charged with possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute and possessing firearms related to drug trafficking. The Rocky Mountain Safe Trails Task Force investigated his activities around the Wind River Reservation in late 2024. During a traffic stop on April 3, 2024, officers found controlled substances including counterfeit oxycodone pills containing fentanyl and more than 50 grams of methamphetamine in Trimmer's vehicle. A handgun was also found in the driver's side door pocket. Further searches at his residence uncovered additional drugs and firearms. Trimmer pleaded guilty on December 2, 2024, and U.S. District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson sentenced him on February 27 in Cheyenne.
Elysia Annay Grams, aged 22 from Gillette, Wyoming, received a sentence of 120 months in prison with five years of supervised release for conspiring to distribute methamphetamine. From March through May 29, 2024, she conspired with others to transport methamphetamine from Colorado to Wyoming. She was arrested near Douglas, Wyoming with over 500 grams of methamphetamine and a significant amount of cash. After pleading guilty on December 2, 2024, U.S. District Court Judge Kelly H. Rankin delivered her sentence on February 20 in Cheyenne.
Rudy Armando Cuellar from West Valley, Utah was sentenced to three years for being a felon in possession of a firearm after being stopped for speeding by the Wyoming Highway Patrol on June 2, 2023. Officers discovered firearms and cocaine during an inventory search following his arrest on an outstanding warrant.
Dylan Cameron Houtstra from Grand Rapids, Michigan received a nine-month sentence with one year of supervised release for assaulting someone at Grand Teton National Park's employee housing on June 4, 2021.
Jose Gabriel Ingellis-Benitez from Port Saint Lucie, Florida was sentenced to twenty months for assault by strangulation that occurred near Signal Mountain Lodge within Grand Teton National Park.
